Prayers for Protection against evil

As you grow to love the Eucharist - as do you love Christ; you will not doubt face attacks from the devil to try and prevent you from visiting Christ in the Real Presence. The devil will try to use everything and everyone he can, to make you feel discourage, unworthy, and even doubt.

To counter these attacks, use these prayers for protection against evil.


Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle,
be our protection against the malice and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host,
by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.​


Memorare

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Christ’s power in his coming and In his baptising
Christ’s power in his dying On the cross, his arising
from the tomb, his ascending; Christ’s power in his coming for judgement and ending.

For my shield this day I call:
strong power of the seraphim, with angels obeying,
and archangels attending,
in the glorious company
of the holy and risen ones,
in the prayers of the fathers, in visions prophetic
and commands apostolic,
in annals of witness,
in virginal innocence,
in the deeds of steadfast men.

For my shield this day I call: Heaven’s might,
Sun’s brightness,
Moon’s whiteness,
Fire’s glory, Lightning’s swiftness, Wind’s wildness, Ocean’s depth, Earth’s solidity, Rock’s immobility.

This day I call to me:
God’s strength to direct me: God’s power to sustain me, God’s wisdom to guide me, God’s vision to light me, God’s ear to my hearing, God’s word to my speaking, God’s hand to uphold me, God’s pathway before me, God’s shield to protect me, God’s legions to save me: from snares of the demons, from evil enticements, from failings of nature, from one man or many, that seek to destroy me, anear or afar.

these forces to save
my soul and my body
from dark powers that assail me: against false prophesyings, against pagan devisings,
against heretical lying
and false gods all around me. Against spells cast by women, by blacksmiths, by Druids, against knowledge unlawful that injures the body,
that injures the spirit.

Be Christ this day my strong protector;
against poison and burning,
against drowning and wounding, through reward wide and plenty .... Christ beside me,

Prayer to Defeat the Work of Satan
O Divine Eternal Father, in union with your Divine Son and the Holy Spirit, and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg You to destroy the Power of your greatest enemy — the evil spirits. Cast them into the deepest recesses of hell and chain them there forever! Take possession of your Kingdom which You have created and which is rightfully yours.
Heavenly Father, give us the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I repeat this prayer out of pure love for You with every beat of my heart and with every breath I take.

A Prayer to Saint Benedict for Protection
​Dear Saint Benedict, I thank God for showering you with His grace to love Him above all else and to establish a monastic rule that has helped so many of His children live full and holy lives.
Through the cross of Jesus Christ, I ask you to please intercede that God might protect me, my loved ones, my home, property, possessions, and workplace today and always by your holy blessing, that we may never be separated from Jesus, Mary, and the company of all the blessed. Through your intercession may we be delivered from temptation, spiritual oppression, physical ills, and disease. Protect us from drug and alcohol abuse, impurity and immorality, objectionable companions, and negative attitudes. In Jesus' Name. Amen.


Prayer against every evil

Spirit of our God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Most Holy Trinity, Immaculate Virgin Mary, angels, archangels, and saints of heaven, descend upon me. Please purify me, Lord, mold me, fill me with Yourself, use me. Banish all the forces of evil from me, destroy them, vanquish them, so that I can be healthy and do good deeds. Banish from me all spells, witchcraft, black magic, malefice, ties, maledictions, and the evil eye; diabolic infestations, oppressions, possessions; all that is evil and sinful, jealousy, perfidy, envy; physical, psychological, moral, spiritual, diabolical ailments. Burn all these evils in hell, that they may never again touch me or any other creature in the entire world.
I command and bid all the powers who molest me, by the power of God all powerful, in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior, through the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, to leave me forever, and to be consigned into the everlasting hell, where they will be bound by Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Gabriel, Saint Raphael, our guardian angels, and where they will be crushed under the heel of the Immaculate Virgin Mary.
